WHEELCHAIR LIFTS FOR VANPOOLERS
Wheelchair users are encouraged to participate in vanpools. The ridesharing organizations,
working with the State of Connecticut, will arrange for a van to be lift-equipped at no extra cost
to riders. Moreover, the ridesharing organizations help with a fare equalization program that
covers lost fares resulting from the removal of passenger seats necessary to accommodate
wheelchair space.
