Experiences of two companies!: "The Rideworks' program helped ease a complex
move that involved the relocation of 80 employees across three cities. Rideworks' representatives
coordinated surveys that identified specific transportation needs and met with
our employees to introduce available transportation options. They then served
as a central point for our employees' alternative travel requests."

"Our company was moving from Fairfield to Wallingford and we wanted to
retain our valued workforce, many of whom are residents of Fairfield County.
Commuting options were identified as an issue, especially in light of rising
gas costs. Rideworks came in to meet with our employees, survey their interest,
and answer their questions. With their help, I was able to establish two vans
for 21 of our employees. To help our employees with the transition we funded
these vans 100% during 2006. Our final results were outstanding! Despite
our move of over 35 miles and a workforce with 15% of residents from lower Fairfield
County, we lost only two employees. Our vans have been running for nine months
and still service 21 employees. They were also able to help our company secure
our "Best
Workplace for Commuters" status. Not only are we helping our employees
- we are doing something good for the environment!"
