Maintenance Repaving of the Pearl Harbor Memorial
(Q) Bridge DELAYED DUE TO WEATHER

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) is announcing that milling and repaving of the Pearl Harbor Memorial (Q) Bridge originally scheduled to begin Monday night, April 12 has been DELAYED FOR AT LEAST TWO WEEKS DUE TO WEATHER FORECASTS.

Notification will be sent once a revised start date has been issued. Once the work begins, lane closures may vary slightly depending on the day of the week or the specific work activity planned. Motorists are advised to call the I-95 New Haven Harbor Crossing Corridor Improvement Program Hotline at 1-866-277-9595 or refer to the program website at www.I95newhaven.com for updated information.

The pavement repairs are necessary for the routine rehabilitation and maintenance of the existing bridge. This work is not part of the construction of the new Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge scheduled to begin in October 2005.

This routine maintenance work on the Q Bridge is part of Contract C1 of the I-95 New Haven Harbor Crossing Corridor Improvement Program. Contract C1 includes the expansion of I-95 between the eastern end of the Lake Saltonstall Bridge and the New Haven/East Haven town line and is scheduled for completion in November 2005.
