New Commuter Parking Lot off I-95
(at Exit 55) in Branford Now Opened

CDOT has announced that the new commuter parking lot off I-95 at Exit 55 (across from Hoyts Cinema on Route 1) in Branford is now opened as part of the first highway construction phase of the I-95 NHHC Corridor Improvement Program. The construction of the new lot increases parking capacity from approximately 25 spaces at Cedar Street to 70 spaces at Exit 55. (The Park & Ride lot off I-95 at Exit 54 Cedar Street in Branford has been closed.)

Commuters who want to avoid traffic congestion and save on commuting costs can leave their cars in commuter parking lots while they use carpools, vanpools, buses or trains for their trips to work. Connecticut maintains a statewide system of Park & Ride lots; visit the CDOT website for a complete list (www.dot.state.ct.us/geninfo/parkride/index.html).
