I-95 NHHC Corridor Improvement Program Web Site Launched
The new site features an interactive road conditions map – updated daily – that includes detailed plans for Program-related construction on I-95 or adjacent roadways. Visitors can also link directly to 10 traffic cameras between Exit 54 (Cedar Street) and Exit 46 (Long Wharf/Sargent Drive) through the interactive map, and sign up for project email to receive advance construction notifications and materials such as fact sheets and brochures. The I-95 NHHC Corridor Improvement Program includes both roadway and transit improvements designed to increase capacity and reduce traffic in the highly congested I-95 corridor between New Haven and Branford. Highway improvements will be implemented in a series of contracts; the first phase – Contract D in Branford – began in August 2002. Construction for the entire program is expected to be completed in 2012.
