How to Enter
Express your thoughts about cars and clean air. Your entry must tie in to RIDEWORKS overall message which is: getting people to commute to work any way except by driving alone. Reducing traffic leads to cleaner air.
Entries may
combine
elements from one or more
categories.
Winning entries
may appear on
the RIDEWORKS Calendar of Environmental Expressions for
the year 2002,
or may appear
on a billboard,
the radio or in the newspaper.
Here are some ideas of things you can do to enter.

Drawings, paintings, photographs, stories, essays, articles, poems, cartoons, billboards.
Paper entries must be
no smaller than
8 1/2" X 11" and
no larger than
18" X 24".
Art entries must be in a horizontal format
(wide instead of tall)
to fit a calendar or
billboard space.
Written entries have a 500 word maximum and must be neat and legible.

Web site design, computer-generated art, research compilations.

Songs, jingles,
commercials,
news reports, documentaries,
dramatizations,
interviews.
All audio and video entries have a one-minute maximum length except documentaries which have a three-minute
maximum.

First Place prize will be awarded in each of three age groups: Grades 3-4, Grades 5-6, Grades 7-8.
First Place prize in each age group is a new bicycle and helmet from Action Sports.
Plus there will be one Bonus Prize to be selected at random from all winners:
A class trip to The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk including the IMAX film Amazon with round-trip class transportation provided by Connecticut Limo.
